Record Store Day Releases - DoYaThing, Damon's Lana Del Rey remix
  • There's still no 100% definite information about Gorillaz' DoYaThing release (if we're wrong about this, please let us know). Both the UK (as we previously reported) and US (newly added) Record Store Day sites are listing a 10" vinyl picture disc of Gorillaz' DoYaThing, audio one side only - the 13 minute version of the track. (the US site listing for it is here). We don't know if it's 500 copies worldwide or by country... or by the countries that are getting it... at this stage your best bet is to call your local participating record store and ask. We'll post any more info as soon as we have it.
  • Along with the Gorillaz release, there will also be a Lana Del Rey 7" released on the day according to the US site here and the tracklisting is 'Born To Die (Damon Albarn Remix) / Blue Jeans (Penguin Prison Remix)'. Damon's remix of the track was previously released as a download under the title the 'PDP 13 Remix'. Wait for the 7" to see how exactly it is credited this time.

New Damon interview comments on Blur - Under The Westway could be their last song - and Dr.Dee
  • Website TheQuietus has a major new interview with Damon coming out next week but they have already previewed some of it on their site. Damon says that the new Blur song Under The Westway (apparently recorded but no release announcement yet. It was also played live by Damon and guitarist Graham Coxon at a mini support slot they did, as previously reported on G-U) might be the last Blur ever do, and that Blur's reunion is not a 'full time thing' and this summer's shows could be a 'coda to the whole thing'. He also comments on Dr.Dee and implies that it will be changed for its London run, adding more narrative. Check out the interview preview here.

    Happy (belated) Birthday Damon!
  • Lastly, Damon turned 44 yesterday (23rd March), he is now 44 years young! Happy Birthday Damon!
