Blur Brits performance, acceptance speech / NME magazine Blur feature

Brits performance / video
On a day in which they announced a big summer show (see the previous G-U news item) Damon's band Blur picked up the 'Outstanding Contribution To Music' award at the Brit Awards 2012 in London. The event was screened live on UK tv channel ITV (and continued on ITV2 for the last 2 Blur songs). Blur played a set of 5 songs. See the videos (click to view) (audio in one channel only - sorry!):-
The acceptance speech. Set: Girls&Boys | Song 2 | Parklife | Tender | This Is A Low
Full quality audio of the first three songs is available on UK iTunes to buy now (not confirmed yet for other countries - let us know).

NME Scans and new article
NME has a cover feature on Blur this week. All the band members talk, but probably the only concrete new info is that the Hyde Park show will be their only 'major' gig though there will be warm-up shows, starting very small and getting bigger. They will also not commit to definitely recording a new album, although it is strongly hinted that some new material will be released and performed this year.
