6:16am: GBQ play two shows for Greenpeace / cover On Melancholy Hill
Damon's band (along with Tony Allen, Simon Tong and Paul Simonon) best known as The Good, The Bad & The Queen played two shows in London yesterday (Thursday 10th).

Around 6:30pm they played a show on the deck of Greenpeace's new ship the Rainbow Warrior, about 50 meters off the quayside by Tower Bridge in London. They played a selection of tracks from the album (but not the full album). This was a semi-secret gig and only announced by XFM shortly beforehand. (a little Youtube video here thanks TheBritishSushi).

Later they played a full previously announced and advertised show at the Coronet Theatre. The setlist was the whole The Good, The Bad & The Queen album, in order, as the main set and then for an encore, a version of Gorillaz' On Melancholy Hill and a version of the GBQ B-Side Mr.Whippy with Punk-era icon / Big Audio Dynamite man Don Letts on vocals. Damon introduced On Melancholy Hill as a song they had started together, but not finished (as previously reported on G-U, parts of the song can be heard in early GBQ behind the scenes footage)
