writes:-"On the 24th of November, gorillaz played a private show in Paris to commemorate the 20th birthday of the french TV show La Musicale. For the occasion a boat had been built to be used as a stage.T he show lasted more than an hour, and was played in front of roughly 1000 guests. Guests included De La Soul, Daley, Kano, Little Dragon, Bobby Womack."
An anonymous person also posts in the comments to a previous news item:-"I was at "La Musicale de Canal+" yesterday. Cameras and phones were confiscated from the audience. Jamie Hewlett has supervised an exclusive decor for the show : a huge boat with false turrets, nuclear warheads, color-changing portholes and a lighthouse next to this special stage. No interviews (at least in front of us) but a wonderful concert with the best sound I've ever heard in a live Gorillaz capture (the bass was down and we could listen to every little string or cymbal : just perfect). There was a special intro by Murdoc in 3D driving in Paris in a little car with a french moustache, a beret and some french language in his mouth (you can clearly think that Canal+ is more generous than EMI ^^). A "to record by any means" show"
Tracks played (not necessarily all will be broadcast):- Murdoc La Musicale Intro / Orchestral Intro / Welcome To The World Of The Plastic Beach / Last Living Souls / Stylo / On Melancholy Hill / Rhinestone Eyes / Superfast Jellyfish / Tomorrow Comes Today / Empire Ants / Broken / Dirty Harry / Doncamatic / El Manana / White Flag (with intro / interlude as usual) / To Binge / Glitter Freeze / Plastic Beach // Cloud Of Unknowing / Feel Good Inc / Clint Eastwood
