Gorillaz AOL session to be available from 12 July, according to Spinner

Spinner (a music site owned by AOL) reports that the Gorillaz AOL session will be available (presumably as video to watch online) from 12 July. This session was recorded after Coachella. Snoop works with Damon on new track; Damon guests with Snoop on Clint Eastwood (video)

Snoop Dogg is currently on tour in the UK. On Wednesday 7 July, Snoop and Damon took part in a recording session together in a Manchester studio. It's not yet known what was recorded, if it will be released, or if Damon's contribution will appear in the Gorillaz name. However, Snoop did tweet in the early hours of 8 July "side note. Bobby Womack you a motha fuckn BOSS!!" (link) after having just tweeted about having been in the studio with "legends", indicating the possibility that Bobby Womack may have contributed to the session.

In addition, Damon appeared at both Snoop's shows at the Shepherd's Bush Empire in London on Friday 9th July, to join him on a performance of Clint Eastwood. Snoop performed a different rap on the track to the one he did at Glastonbury. You can watch video of the collaboration, courtesy of thehiphopchronicle on Youtube here.
