Two 'real life' Plastic Beaches

Not exactly Gorillaz news, but Gorillaz-related, a few fans sent in both of these stories...

Colourful Thief was the first to write in about a 'plastic beach' in Hawaii, "It's not exactly Gorillaz news, but it's related to the "Plastic Beach" concept, as it seems to be nearing damon and jamie's vision in Hawaii"
Check out video of this 'plastic beach' on the BBC website http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/in_depth/8639769.stm?ls.

Secondly, hatrickpatrick was the first to send the news that Malaysian designer Sarly Adre Bin Sarkum has designed a 'Self-sufficient underwater skyscraper harvests renewable energy to grow its own food'. The notable thing about this is that it bears an uncanny resemblance to Plastic Beach, Gorillaz' new home. Check out a picture of the design and a brief writeup about it http://www.colourlessdesign.com/wp/?tag=sarly-adre-bin-sarkum.
