Plastic Beach review round-up

Bucket bailing update: less than 500k left, but now you have to bail within Plastic Beach (UPDATE)

We're almost done with bailing out the lift! If you go to where we've been bailing out the buckets, you'll be greeted with this message: "As we're nearing the end, you have a bail from the lift in Plastic Beach! Good going guys! Keep it up ... nearly there!" At the moment, there are only 497,649 buckets left!

UPDATE: The creator of the Firefox Bucket Bailer Add-On confirms that the Add-On not working anymore.

UK Album chart race update - Gorillaz still top-selling after 2 days

According to various sources (including DigitalSpy here) Plastic Beach is still leading the race to become this week's UK #1, having sold the most copies of any album in the last 2 days in the UK. Its main rival is Boyzone's album 'Brother' and the race is said to be very close. The UK official albums chart result is announced on Sunday evening and we'll keep you updated throughout the week.

Gorillaz announce UK rehearsal tour; G-Club members to get access to tickets (UPDATE: more info)

KissMyPlastique sends the news, including full text of the email that has been sent to all current G-Club members:-

"G-CLUB GORILLAZ SHOWS: TICKETS ON SALE FROM TOMORROW! Ahead of Coachella - the Gorillaz band will open up rehearsals to audiences at a number of specially selected venues in the UK. Only members of the newly launched G-Club are eligible to buy tickets, which go on sale tomorrow. Tickets are on a first come first served basis for all G-Club members and are £15 with a £2.50 booking fee. Tickets are limited to 2 per member. You will not gain entry to the venue unless you bring the E-Ticket print out with you and another valid form of photo ID (Passport, Driving Licence).
21st March - Portsmouth Wedgwood
22nd March - Bristol Trinity
23rd March - Cambridge Junction
25th March - Brighton Old Market
26th March - Birmingham Irish Centre
27th March - Lincoln Engine shed"

UPDATE 21:29PM GMT:- A further message from Gorillaz' management about the dates. They are live rehearsals - the core band will be going through the set for coachella - basic and raw - no frills - allowing the band to tighten up on front of an audience. However, they assure us the band are sounding fantastic!
