Rock It picks up a play on the Zane Lowe show / Gorillaz support architecture for humanity

On Tuesday 9th October, BBC Radio 1 DJ Zane Lowe played the Gorillaz track Rock It on his show, praising it highly and saying "Wowww we have no idea where that came from but, wow..." (thanks Chia for the info). It was also briefly listed on his BBC minisite as the 'hottest record in the world'.

In other news, lord.of.chickens sends the info that Gorillaz have donated money to the Architecture For Humanity charity, a charity dedicated to huminatrian building projects. Gorillaz are 'sponsoring the days' 5th and 6th November 2007, the days D-Sides is released in Europe and North America, respectively. Performance from Gorillaz DJ Sound System in London on 23rd October (UPDATE)

A story posted on the UK MTV website mtv.co.uk claims that 'Gorillaz and their DJ Sound System' will be giving a performance at the MTV Send Off Party at the Bloomsbury Ballroom in London, UK on 23rd October. The event is invite and competition winners only. Check out the story on MTV.co.uk here.

UPDATE 15/10/07: A source close to the band has confirmed to Gorillaz-Unofficial.com that only the 'Gorillaz Soundsystem' will be appearing at this party, not Gorillaz themselves, however, it should be a fun night!.
