Rise Of The Ogre paperback / another Kano Gorillaz mention / Older article

Three pieces of Gorillaz news to bring you:-

Firstly, MasterMarcoss sends the news that Amazon.com is listing a paperback edition of Gorillaz' autobiography, Rise Of The Ogre. This will be released on November 7th in the USA. No word on a release in other territories yet but more information will appear here as it becomes available. Check out the Amazon listing here.

Secondly, UK rapper Kano can't stop bigging up Gorillaz in the press, speaking in this week's NME he says "I always liked Blur a lot, but when Gorillaz first came out it was like, 'F*ck! I gotta do something with this guy." Read the full extract by clicking 'Read More' below. Damon Albarn Gorillaz co-creator appears on Kano's new album London Town on the track Feel Free (download it from Rapidshare here or watch a live performance on Youtube here.

Finally, news of an older interview with Damon Albarn in which he discussed some Gorillaz points - the interview took place in October 2006 so the comments about the Gorillaz movie may be out of date ("we’re really gonna make a proper full-length film, a very dark, animated film for adults ") , but the anecdote about MF Doom is pretty amusing, and apparently Andy Summers from the Police was originally going to be on a track on Demon Days. Check it out on the Fader website here or click 'Read More' below.
